1. Who was your first crush?
It was a boy named Andrew whom I sat next to in 4th grade; he always made me laugh. We “went together” in 5th and for most of 6th grade. He looked like a typical California surfer boy, but he had brains (we were in the gifted and talented classes together). I still think about him once in awhile, especially because there’s a guy on TV (can’t remember which show, it’s an entertainment, news thing) named A.J. Hammer, who looks just like him.
2. Do you currently have a crush on someone?
Only a celebrity crush or two…
3. What makes a crush a CRUSH to you – the fact that it’s possibly unrequited or that you can actually get the person at a later date?
Oh a crush is definitely unrequited; it’s someone you know you’ll never get your arms around. That’s what makes it a crush. And for me, it’s more of a sweet thing — sure, lust is involved, ’cause you really don’t know much more about them than how they look, but I don’t have all these raging animal feelings when I’m crushing on someone.
4. Who are your celebrity crushes?
Sting, Johnny Depp and Hugh Jackman
5. Have you ever crushed on a boss? did anything come of it?
Ewww, no. All of my bosses have been significantly older than I am or trolls… or both!
6. Have you ever crushed on a teacher? Describe what made you fawn over them.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a teacher whom I’ve crushed on.
7. Many people have met a spouse/fiancee at work. have you ever crushed on a co-worker, and how did that turn out?
Geek and I were co-workers for awhile (even though we started dating shortly before his Granny hired me to work at the flower shop), so I guess the answer would be yes. And I think it’s obvious how that turned out.
8. Have you ever crushed on a personal trainer, a work-out buddy, or a member of your sports team? What happened?
Only gym I’ve ever been to was women only, so no. And I’m not much of a sports team kind of person, but same thing there, they’ve always been all girls, and I don’t roll that way.

The band Charlemagne has a great song called “Fave Unknown.” It’s about all your favorite random strangers you see over and over again at the bus stop, at the library, at the laundromat.
I have some “fave unknowns,” like Goth Parking Garage Guy, Mr. Rock Critic, 40s Film Star Barista, but they’re not really crushes, I guess!
