The Witching Hour (Post #33)

Filed under: Blogathon — Tense @ 12:00 am

I have made it to midnight… only 16 more posts to write after this one!  Woo-hoo!  Believe it or not, I’m not all that sleepy right now.  I am bone weary — my butt is kinda sore from sitting, and my back hurts, and my head is beginning to hurt — but I’m not really tired.  Don’t get me wrong, if I could get into my bed right now, I would be asleep within an hour, but I’m doing better than I thought I would at this point.  However, I’m kind of worried about what 2 o’clock might bring.

I’m also surprised at how much I’ve been able to write about today… I’m not saying it’s quality writing.  Hell, for the most part, it’s a bunch of crap.  But I’ve done it, and that’s all that matters.  Just 8 more hours.

My grandmother used to say that nothing good happens after midnight; I sure hope she’s wrong.

  1. Oh we’ll MAKE something good happen after midnight!

  2. Your grandmother is so wrong. So many good things have happened to me WAY after midnight. And not all of them dirty even!

I just got in from a relatively low key evening out and thought I’d give you a shout before I hit the hay. If you run low on ideas in the wee hours I’d be interested to know how you’ve been handling the practicalities of writing every half hour. Do you have posts already written in the pipeline and just hit post at the half hour? Or do you hit post for the half hour and then immediately begin composing for the next half hour? Or is it something entirely different? Have you already addressed this question and I missed it when I was out gallivanting?

  3. KG – I have no doubts, dahling.

Kizz – I have some frameworks, general ideas, but I do not write the posts ahead of time… The powers that be at the Blogathon ask us not to. I don’t know that I could have done this if I didn’t have SOMETHING.
