Tense for a Reason

About Me

I’m a 33-year-old English teacher at a rural private school in Mississippi who goes by the name Tense (yes, it’s a commentary on my personality). This is my first time to participate in the Blogathon, and I’m raising money for The Smile Train, which provides free cleft lip and cleft palate repair surgeries for children living in poverty all over the world. I was born with a cleft lip, and I can’t imagine what my life might have been like if my parents had not been able to afford the 2 surgeries necessary for me to eat, speak, and even smile normally.

Please sponsor me, and give whatever you can to help The Smile Train; since March 2000, they have provided almost 250,000 free surgeries for children. As little as 250 dollars can give a child a new lease on life… Every penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar adds up!

  1. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi! I’m a fellow ‘thonner who’s also blogging for a cleft org. Good luck!
