That’s What It’s All About

Blogathon

Starting at 8 A.M. Central Time on Saturday, July 28th, I will make one post per half hour until 8 A.M. the next morning in order to raise money for The Smile Train, which has provided free cleft-lip and cleft-palate surgery for almost 250,000 children since March 2000. That’s 49 different posts in 24 hours… not to mention the fact that I have to stay awake in order to do it!

Please sponsor me and/or stay up with me and keep me company. This cause is very important to me, as I was born with a cleft lip. But unlike the children whom The Smile Train helps, I had parents who had insurance and were able to pay for the 2 surgeries I needed in order to eat, speak and smile properly… in other words, to have a normal life. So please click on the picture above or on the “blogathon” link in my blogroll and help me raise money for this worthwhile charity. No amount is too small, and you’re given up to a month to pay after it’s over! At that time, you’ll be sent a link to the charity’s donation page; that way, they get 100 percent. And for my part, I want to give all my super-duper sponsors a lot of publicity, so I will list everyone who pledges (any amount!) in the sidebar, but if I miss anyone, please let me know.
